Road Trip Ready: Fashion for Comfort and Style
The right clothes are essential, especially when you travel. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized how important it is to wear clothes that not only look good but also keep me comfortable throughout the day. I’m 64, and I get hot easily, so choosing breathable fabrics is a must. When I’m traveling, I don’t want to spend a lot of time deciding what to wear, so I look for clothing that’s easy to maintain and simple to mix and match. It’s all about finding pieces that fit together well, making it easy to put together an outfit that looks put-together without much thought.
For me, comfort is key. I look for items that allow me to move freely and that won’t make me feel too warm or restricted. Whether I’m sightseeing or relaxing at a café, I want clothes that allow me to enjoy the day without constantly adjusting what I’m wearing. That’s why I like to have a few go-to outfits that I can grab in a hurry and know they’ll look great.
These are some of my favorite travel essentials, all available on Amazon. These clothes ensure I look put-together while feeling comfortable, no matter where I am.
Nylon shorts. These are from Santiny, and are so comfortable. They also are easy to clean and dry quickly. I like the loose fit and elastic waist. I love the zipper pockets, which are so handy for traveling.
Nylon pants. These are also from Santiny, and are the long version of the shorts, with all the same advantages, including the zipper pockets.
Sleeveless tops. I love these. I believe in layers, especially because I get hot easily. I start with sleeveless tops and pants or shorts most days. I love flattering sleeveless tops, and these are my favorites.
Sweatshirts. These are the ultimate layering piece. They are substantial and warm, but not to warm. I own several.
